Those of us who grew up on upbeat 90s pop will be beautifully prepared to enjoy The Indestructible Water Bear. They recapture that sense of melodic jangle that brought folk and rock melodies together while remaining centred in the human situation. An emo and dreampop vein brings fuel to the fire with their catchy and motivating songs. They have a new album out, called Everything Is OK. It’s a seven-track musical epic that encompasses the listener through instrumental depths and lyrical chronicles with intelligent and meaningful clarity. They have a single to promote the album, it’s called Missing You. We had better not miss out on this one. 
 
A wave of tom-tom drums throws off the blanket and reveals the scene. A diorama of sounds builds through bass and chord. Vocals join in, the joyous delivery raising the energy. The music ripples with vibrant class, the guitars delicately explore the chord shapes as the bass pins the drumming into ideal shape. Gail Farmer sings with a delicate yet evocative style, her voice crunches the harmonies as each passing line sits atop the flow. Something shifts in the song; it grows into something larger as the drumming and guitars lap forward into a rock n roll rendition of the pattern. The chorus continues as the music shatters the ceiling with an electric rush to life that makes the intro verses feel like a memory.
