With a tone that resonates on the strange and adapting the story as our modern times reflect today’s art, a feedback loop of gloom and philosophy begins to snake into our ears. It’s not the devil, it’s not a whispering lie, it’s intelligent skin-shedding muse music that conjures rumination, reflection, and gleeful gothic gloop. A new album by the name of CoreCore Pulp enjoys a series of down and devious compositions that explore the phenomenon of artificial power created by modern algorithms. Grimy and sodden with reverb, rampant bass repeat beats hammer in on a wave of ambient alarm. The manic sense of jagged polygeny rips apart any sense of musical formula.
