Guitar driven punk brand high octane symphonies from Detroit can only mean Cascade Riot. As we head on for Exit 55, their new single rises from the grime and shade with a new record deal and extended distribution. Accompanied by an atmospheric and cinematic video by the talented Alexander Brady, they’ve turned up all the notches for this new record. Since their forming in cosy 2015, Cascade Riot have celebrated several progressive releases that build on their reputation for great sounding creativity. Exit 55 holds on tight to the ride as the pace and the energy climbs higher than fans might be used to. Even then, it remains true to the fun and intelligent songwriting they’ve always deserved.   
 
Deftly controlled feedback opens the piece before severing beats punch through with guitar riff and snare. The bass pounds on the tempo as melody matches the interstitial beats. A break-neck speed hits the vocal section as the lines hurtle out with syllables hitting each bar and beat with poetic accuracy. A catchy and universally acceptable chorus reminds us why the band make sense as the music soars and zips across newfound energy levels and virtuosity that playing together for all this time has brought.
