On the magical event of this year’s long-anticipated Spring Equinox, the stalwart alternative gothic dream-pop group Mercury’s Antennae release their third album. An air of mystery and mesmerism haunts their backdrop as ethereal and enchanting semblances bring listening pleasure. To get the ball rolling, a William Faith Remix of their sparkling The Reflecting Skin makes the single. Working between studio and space in Switzerland and the USA the three-piece band release Among The Black Trees, their first album in several years, through Sett Records. The single is a track written about how some people seem to reflect our selves positively and some negatively. Everyone can be a reflection when we look for the dimension of the glass.  
 
A resonant bass and sombre guitar begin the song with a wandering melody. The second guitar then appears like a spectre in the window, a searing chorus effect crunches the tone and layers it in ghostly veils within the rhythm. Repeating shades of composition create a memorable and hook laden flow, and as the chorus appears, the energy is pushed further. A crushing layer of distortion and drumming adds a cosmic punch to the delivery, poetic and darkly romantic, epic and winding, the song continues into an orchestration of drama and expression.
