Three friends who grew up together in tight-knit working-class South Leeds are now living fully-fledged lives up and down the country. The Bitter Mass haven’t forgotten where they came from though, and they continue to create from that place of honesty, integrity, and face-value that separates graft from grift. This new song is about how different personality types bring about challenges without anyone being at fault. There are people who like to stay where they are, look for security and stability, and then there are those who want to be loose-footed and never tied down to a routine or location. Both people are normal and natural, but relationships between them can be anything but. This is a song about a girl who, for better or worse, can find her home anywhere. She’s the Anywhere Girl. 
 
A smooth keyboard tone opens the music as an 80s pop feel bubbles from the vibrant bass and frilled guitars. Reggae rhythms meet rock n roll as the music lifts and builds with piano, guitar, and drums. The vocal hits with absolute clarity. Beautifully poised words sit atop the bars in shining luminance, and the story unfolds. Harmony in the chorus gives way to shattering emotions as we realise the one we enjoyed spending so much time with is about to find somewhere new. The emptiness left behind as we imagine ourselves being someone we don’t want to be and doing what we can to move on from the hurt by appreciating each of our own individualities.
