Don’t Stop USA She’s gorgeous, talented, and on a mission. Lily Lane takes her East Coast USA attitude and concentrates it into catchy, infectious, and memorable anthems. She’s been a model for Wilhemena Curve and so she knows how to form a commanding presence we simply can’t ignore. Taking this fire to music production and LGBTQ+ rights, she’s making an impact in every corner. Her new song follows on from her recent Reciprocation, and looks at how no matter what you do, how brilliantly you perform, reciprocation and acknowledgement can fail to arrive. Are they waiting for permission from the tabloids or do they think there must be some kind of illusion going on? Who knows. From one creative to another, I know how difficult it is to communicate this pain to the people who won’t even look. Lily Lane has been demonstrating her ability to make meaningful and cinematic music as her creations have been used to decorate shows on HBO Max, Bravo, Netflix, beauty campaigns, and lots more. And what’s more, this is for you. Don’t Stop. It begins with synths that have a gated filter which fizzes and bubbles like soup, or a running bath. Lily Lane starts to sing, and the beats begin, a funky groove ensues with retro vibes on the keys, soulful RnB vocal delivery, and some seriously ear pinching hooks. Is this the late 90s or are we listening to what they produced? I think the latter, and that’s perfect. Modern sounds are complimented by traditional swerves of tone and lyrical technique we can feel the root right back into disco time.
