The metal scene is very much alive, and UK-based Aleya are making sure of it with their significant rise in the field. They don’t have a label yet; it’s just their passion and desire to create that puts them on the map. Do they even need one? Released on the 10th of April, their latest single Sapphire Skies unleashes a new energy in preparation for their new EP. This first single of the year takes us into the realms of metalcore, synthesisers, and rampaging beats. Showcasing their trademark guttural vocal roars and sculpted melodies, Sapphire Skies brings Aleya to their home turf while opening new dimensions from above. Their work has been picked up by Kerrang! Radio and BBC Radio 1, so what are you waiting for? Play the tune loud.

The band throw themselves headfirst in; the music surges with full effect as soon as it begins. Worming synthesisers and fast drumming dressed by distorted guitars that crash and roar in perfect time, the music is topped by vocals that swap between pitch-perfect singing and heavy metal roars that could dwell in the caverns of old myth and fable. The band keeps shifting dynamically as the music progresses from up to down with breaks and chops that both elevate and condense. An emo metal meets punk hardcore sense keeps the song fresh and leaning further on each acceleration.
