Double Tiger has been in the undergrowth since 2020, building and preparing to strike. Now, armed with rippling beats from Reggae legends Sly and Robbie and a sharply engineered row of hooks, it’s time to pounce. Yearning demonstrates reggae and horn, lending the wholesome talents of Lee Hamilton for the brass. A slosh of riddim and instrumentation, the single comes alongside a deep dub version from 10ft. Ganja Plant’s Craig Welsch. Remembered for his decade long contribution to John Brown’s Body, the prog-reggae marathon, Jay Spaker, aka Double Tiger has also toured with genre icons Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid, Chronixx, Stick Figure, Thievery Corporation, and many more. A long list of collaborations precedes him, and it’s safe to say we’re all Yearning for more. Here it is.  
 
The tranquility of the rainforest opens the score before the slick and laid-back beats begin to pulse. Reggae timing and harmonies of horn lean back and enjoy the warmth and the flow. Double Tiger presents, the striking voice begins the journey and leaves us agape as the pure reggae sound slides down. The smooth and colourful inflections of offbeat timing and repeating melody sit down as the vocals meld and merge across chapters of prologue that keep us pinned into the music. Peaceful progressions take s through cornering avenues lined with frilled trumpet blasts, synth beats, and steady snare driven drums.
