Blues with a hedonistic throb and hum brings exquisite musicianship; Geiger von Muller’s Slide Sonatas are a sure radio favourite. The list of stations they sent me who’ve played them is far too long to put here, you’ll have to ask him yourself.  A new-wave of heavy, clean, and viscous guitar-centred blues rock is probably exactly what we all need, and Geiger von Muller’s Slide Sonatas are now enjoying their second full-on record. Succinctly titled Slide Sonatas II, we can be assured that the atmosphere and talent combine to produce nuance and passion with every track. The fourth record from Geiger von Muller, Slide Sonatas II comes with the fan-favourite Radar Truck, accompanied by a psychedelic B side version remixed by Xqui. 
 
A chunky steel string acoustic plies open the nut and releases the wholesome complexity. The bass notes hang with loose and metallic fresh-string timbre while the high notes sing and dance on blues and rock formations laid bare by the rhythm. Geiger von Muller sits calm and confident as his hands delve into the high-function routines of blues and tone as the guitar leans left and right with movements of sound. The evolution of the liquid melody chops and flows like a baker’s artisan bread, rising gently in the passionate heat of the guitar. Radar Truck takes us on a journey over bumps and ledges as it seeks out the signal from distantly approaching strangers.
