A grass-roots music scene powerup across the board, the legendary Pete McKee from The Everly Pregnant Brothers is headlining a run of shows in several cosy venues, raising money for the field. Everyone knows you need to nurture the roots to get a decent crop, and supporting artists of all kinds at the pub and club level means some of them get extremely good. The parody band who play ukulele versions of popular songs The Everly Pregnant Brothers will appear alongside their compere at The Boy With A Leg Named Brian exhibition across April and May to raise much needed money for The Music Venue's Trust. With 50 posters to be printed and signed by the artist, these will be snapped up and the proceeds donated. It's a tongue-in-cheek and entertaining evening whether you like ukulele or not. A mellow keyboard tune opens the piece. It's like crooner jazz until the vocals begin. The punky folk attitude rings out, the melody is good but the elocution is pub and bar, not cabaret and grand piano. The lyrics take the spotlight, clever and funny, the lines tell a story of life that we've all been a part of at one time or another. Not that we've ever owned one, of course. The dodgy box that gives access to every channel for free, some guy in an attic room is sitting there with servers eating up the electricity. Must be paradise.

Day time exhibition is free with no booking required* and opens each day between 12pm - 5pm. Evening band performance is ticketed with doors opening at 7:00pm.
