Militant General To The Emperor is a fast-rising hip-hop artist from sunny Kingston. He’s made a name for himself in the world of local leadership, inspiring others to become their best version while staying true to themselves, and now teams up with Mickey Leigh. Reinventing Mickey’s classic track from his old school punk band The Rattlers, the 37-year-old anthem gets a brand-new façade. As the brother of Joey Ramone (about which he wrotethis book) punk and production go hand in hand with Mickey Leigh, so by enlisting the Militant General to reinvent the song we can be sure he knows what he’s doing. Spanning the repertoire of the sound into the realms of hip-hop while staying in key to the sentiment, I Won’t Be Your Victim (No More) is just as relevant now as it always has been. 
 
It begins with a vibrant melody that’s bumped up with cool vocal harmonies and swagger. An atmosphere of sunshine and relaxation beckons before a crack of drums brings out the traditional punk rhythm we expect and love. A mix of rap and singing hit us with a duet lined with female voice harmony that tingles like starlight. As The General begins to take the lead, a roar of distortion rages in the hearth as the pot begins to boil. Whatever he’s cooking it sounds great as the bass and drum riff with the smash of guitar and vocal.
