The enigmatic Juno Reactor created this piece for the Matrix Reloaded movie in 2003. To coincide with Juno Reactor’s Matrix exhibition, the number has been reinvented and “reloaded” by the meganeural talents of Slovenia's DJ Reaky Reakson. The track Mona Lisa Overdrive was the first piece commissioned by The Matrix producers, so it marks a milestone in his journey as a professional composer. With a fully immersive live show on the books, Inside The Matrix will showcase not only the iconic films but place Juno Reactor in the fold who will perform music made for the films. How epic is that? The curious brand of electronic, dance, and house music that Juno Reactor is well-known for gets an explosive taste of intensity with this Reaky Reakson remix.

It begins with cinematic clarity, brass, and string pans out in an increasing delivery of drama. A semblance of rhythm and fast notation then takes control; the melody begins to emerge from pulsation and repeating jabs of flow. Drums hit hard; they’re taken in by a slimy bass that coils and squashes around the heavy-foot rhythm that insists on speed. A driving force rises as more horns climb from the mixture and give way to a lead string, fast and swirling in hypnotic colours and sensation. The track is relentless; the pressure keeps rising. Like frogs in water, we're helpless to the growing energy that surges all around us.
