Glasgow's Starry Skies prepare for their new album release with a great sounding single to kick off the party. A firm fan favourite, Light In Your Soul is proudly sitting on this new record that's already been tried and tested in venues and studios alike. Known around the city and beyond for their folk rock style and their seemingly endless energy, their full-on band sound is easily recognisable for anyone who's been acquainted. Starry Skies was formed in 2014 after moving and inspirational personal encounters between Warren from the band and icons of entertainment including Nina Simone and Iggy Pop (tap the links for eBay merch). Since their formation, Starry Skies have created a significant following and simultaneously earned support slots for the likes of Snow Patrol and Teenage Fanclub.


It begins with a solitary voice singing. We're drawn in to the sound of finger clicks and duet harmony. Bass and drum enters with a throbbing motif that sinks in to the pace of the verse. Then, with a smashing of cymbal and snare, the lead guitar changes the energy with uplifting chords. Mellow and progressive, poetic lyrics with romantic entries spin a tale of wanderlust and seeking that we all feel connected to. The song asks us to take a look in the other direction and see the light within us, the end of the tunnel might be right under our feet. Organ and guitar merge together with compositional chemistry as the male and female vocals rise to the occasion under bright starry skies.
