A member of the BAFTA Nominated band Son Lux, Rafiq Bhatia is continuing his exquisite form with a new solo production. Taking up the talents of piano legend Chris Pattishall, the music carries justice for both musicians with well-chosen and soul-captivating compositions. Since co-writing and recording the score for Academy Award Winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, Bhatia has turned his talents to more music that connects with the beautiful and avant-garde. This cover version of an Angelo Badalamenti original, well-known for being a key part of the Twin Peaks Soundtrack, especially hits home with the passing of the Twin Peaks propagator David Lynch. His creation has inspired millions with its story-telling, visual film art, and of course, its soundtrack. Putting their own take on the classic cinematographical piece, Rafiq Bhatia and Chris Pattishall reinvent sliced bread and show us what can be done with their local ingredients.  
 
A tingling radiance glistens in mirror-like shine as piano begins to distil a semblance of melody. The tune grows like branches on coral, mysterious shades of spectrum whisking past in gliding motions of ambience. A form of story unfolds as the piano adapts and evolves along with an invisible energy that conducts the essence of feeling within the piece. Subtle and storm-like undertones rumble and drone within the flux of finger-work as gentle harmonies rise from thundering distances. Guitar adds yet more layer, pitch-shifted and exploratory, a fascinating action is manifested through charming and drama-infused passages of pianist-led atmosphere.
