Jack & Daisy
Don't Think Twice Bob Dylan (cover) Since forming a few years ago in Spain and then bringing their homely close-in rock sound to audiences over the entire Spanish eastern coast in the ensuing seasons, Jack & Daisy have quickly established themselves as a headline act. Now working with Jerry Meehan at London's Wendyhouse Studios, who made room for the duo in between the likes of Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Jess Glyn, it's time to get the show on the radio and the road. With this fantastic cover version of the Bob Dylan foot-tapper behind them, all we can say is good luck and don't look back. With a pretty acoustic guitar melody directly reminiscent of the 60s-70s folk scene, the song begins on a delicate brush stroke. Fairytale lyrics draw in the lantern light to bring out the shadows, reaching tall among the flower gardens. Where Jack begins, Daisy enters with the duet voice that mirrors the melody apart from clever emphasises in meaningful places. Sadness coats the song with feelings of regret mixed with a sense of release into freedom that can't be recaged or recaptured.
