With their nifty blend of subgenre based triphop, downtempo, and dreamvibe, Oxford UK-based The Subtheory prepare the perimeter for an album release on August 2nd. The 13 Track Shark Tank opus contains their recent single, The Song Of The Damascene. Their music has been swept up by filmmakers for its incidental and cinematic quality, several BBC documentaries have already featured previous cuts from this hard working and fresh sounding group. Written about facing fears and gearing up for reality, Shark Tank is set to offer a brand-new edge to the repertoire of Oxford’s finest fusion act. Doing the rounds on the streaming sites and putting the band back to the front of the list, here is The Song Of The Damascene.  
 
Drifting tones rise from the framework and launch a vocal section in duet. Thumping bass then hits the button with melodic plunges and resonant kick. The song motions us closer, pinning our attention to the mix as guitars begin to pluck funky licks within the composition. An amplitude lends the feminine side of the voice to break from the amalgam and the surging peace flings itself across our presence in the kinesis of the track.
