Their name might be a red-herring, or it might just be a description of what they see and want to disrupt in their own way. The reggae hip-hop musical collaborative Rockers Galore offer a new breed of fantastic sound that slices against the grain in so many ways. Reinvigorating the bliss of rhythm and groove with a lively story-telling writing style, Rockers Galore present the next sniff of their upcoming album. Vamos a la Playa will also contain their previous blast, fans will know Blood In The Sand for its guitar part joyfully added by Joe Jordan from Oxymorrons and Pure Hell. Sweet Sensei continues the vibe and although shows a different scenery, maintains that driving edge that keeps us entertained. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Digable Planets’ Tommy Joyner, that star quality gleaned by the likes of Miley Cyrus, Dave Matthews, and James Taylor can now be found on the splendid work of this Philadelphia-based band of vital creatives. 

 

With the chug of a vintage bike, the horns and strings begin to shimmer as the drummer adds the magic. A fluid harmony crackles over the rhythm and bass as the body of sound changes in graceful movements. The vocals begin, a mix of voices then begins to tell the poetry. Rhythmic and melodic, the reggae delivery jams with the band as they adapt and flow to the dynamic groove and picturesque imagery.  A dose of cosmic clarity melds with dreamy atmosphere and the forward motion keeps us moving so we don’t get stuck in the sky. A fun and party fuelled track, Sweet Sensei has a propensity for relaxation and repose.
