Closer Than They Appear by Tod Lippy takes the reins on some favourite numbers and some lesser-known but equally as vital pieces of music. The album as a whole considers tracks by artists like Low, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Beth Gibbons, and Bedhead among several more. Lippy also includes a version of Frightened Rabbit's unreleased track Son C. This one found its way to a music release offered with the 13th edition of ESOPUS, an arts magazine headed up by Lippy between 2003 and 2018.
