Unusual, evocative, and intrinsically eclectic, the monument to Texan electronica known as Paris Music Corp presents No Soy A.I.! We’ve all likely used it, even if indirectly. If you use social media or if you’ve played against the computer on a game, then you’ve already met. No Soy? A Hispanic phrase No Soy means I Am Not. I think in today’s world it’s important to label organic content, even if just once. I like to include fragmented sentences or missing apostrophes, playful new words, as a sign that I too am No Soy A.I. Electronic music is all about computers and what they can do. In the hands of an inventive human, with a passion for finding new sensations through sound, a synthesiser desk is a doorway to infinity. Let’s see what mysterious and groovy wavelengths have materialised this time.

A rumble of mashed beats breaths ambiently alongside a searing bass tone that drones in meanders of nuance. Higher pitches tingle and warp over the hum of progress. The lyrics begin; it appears to be in Spanish. In fact, it’s actor and music producer Ray Perez, a fellow Texan resident with a knack for bilingualism. A darkwave sense of gothic post punk decorates the words. The pacey and rhythmic sentences have rhyming patterns that bounce on the bar. The ghostly musical score continues to reverberate beneath as the vocal patterns change flow from pours to drips. Extra layers of music then form over the top like new landscapes developing from the cloudy fog that resides a few feet before our eyes. No Soy A.I.! We can sing-along at last, as the music finds its final act and leads us to the playlist. Spectacular sounds and memorable progression, a thumbs up and a share wouldn’t do anyone any harm.
