The London-based indie-rock fourpiece away fans are back in the stands with Keeping On. It features the timeless talents of SEY.MOUR, a fantastic singer whose voice fills gaps you didn’t know were there. They’ve been on somewhat of a world tour, with plenty of UK dates and a couple in New York, and now they’ve put pen to paper, vibration to computation, and mind to matter with this new single. Known for energetic and electrifying live guitar and drumming, Keeping On pushes the boat out with dance music elements combining with their synonymous sound. I don’t know about you, but I love experiments. When you’re playing at the away end sometimes you have to change things round a bit.

A looped vocal bounces in with a digital effect. Then, hyperpop beats begin to sprawl out like ribbon development. Rattling beats and bursts of tone then bump up as the vocal smoothly opens out. A post-punk delivery takes the 80s right out of the box and puts it on the stereo. A party energy keeps the ball in the air as trick shots and little nudges revolve the sensations like juggling balls. A chip chop feel keeps the push of the rhythm tight as the music becomes looser for the vocals, sultry and friendly, the voice just wants us to have a good time. Elements of funk and disco then flow from the mix as the music rises in pressure, vocal harmonies and intense strumming spiral into silence.
