When personal strife brings a downward spiral towards oblivion, only the creative instinct can turn the table. When it’s the turn of chaos to make its move and the orderly progression of life is reduced to crazy paving, lay that stuff everywhere. Out now on Kitten Robot Records, the new Tombstones In Their Eyes track I Am Cold is a monument to the inner turmoil that so often bites in and sinks us. The psychedelic rock band from LA are preparing to release the Asylum Harbour LP, of which I Am Cold is the final single from the record. Recorded by producer and engineer Paul Roessler, who’s name can be found alongside Nina Hagen, Hayley and the Crushers, Josie Cotton, and Gitane Demone. Let’s catch that sinking feeling and board the train to Downsville with this new offering. 
 
A fizzy-pop style opening riff brings out the song with upbeat melody and bouncing rhythms on drums and bass. The climbing guitar tune reaches into scale formations and pattern changes as the pulse of the tempo pushes on in an almost hypnotic manner. The vocal enters like a surfboard, catching the wave without a change, seamless joining of the sound brings out a driving sense of freedom and openness. A dreamy and evocative melody grows from the roots of heavy and blues rock style pounding on the guitars as the drums break and roll over the natural landscape, littered with boulder and flowing stream. A song about feeling lonely, and about feeling left out, it’s a refreshing taste of something we all are probably familiar with.
