Following on from the swathes of success that have accumulated over the past year, Michele Ducci is back in the saddle and rounding up some fantastic sounds. His new album is out tomorrow; it’s a studio live recording, so we can expect fluid and free renditions of his masterful talent as the music and recording happens simultaneously. Only the crowd is missing, and when it’s the kind of atmospheric and intelligent stuff we get from Ducci, it’s not a bad thing. We want to hear every note. They’re played with a range of alternative instruments, Michele Ducci himself is a one who performs with a flute and a Bontempi keyboard. Duetting the vocals with synth player Letizia Mandolesi, the twosome bring a wide curtain of intrigue to draw over our silences. One of the singles from the album, which contains re-recordings and original, has just been released. Written about absolute change, Even Before digs deep and recovers diamonds.  
 
A quick cymbal-led rhythm breaks out a samba rhythm as keyboard adds frill in melodic jolts. Michele Ducci begins to sing as synthesiser whistling hums add air to the flow in gentle gusts of ghostly ambience. A poetic and folk inspired voice hits the beat in liberated song, happy melodies finding their way through a brambly emotional backdrop. A simple skeleton of music manifests as the keyboard and voice merge in a twine that encapsulates subtle harmony and female voice. Prettiness and mesmerism keep a balance across the path of music that’s outlaid in this beautifully enchanting composition.
