They have a new member of the band and we’re all keen to discern the changes. The excellence of Nina Dahlgaard Larsen is folded into the mix as Denmark’s Blue Foundation set out to release April’s Close To The Knife. Blue Foundation are known for their collaborations with artists like Sara Savery, DJ Krush, Jonas Bjerre of Mew, and Wang Wen. The group that brought us a Twilight soundtrack are always on the cutting edge of the dreampop phenomenon with expert musicianship and thoughtful songwriting demonstrating the scope of the brand. Ecstasy In Space sets the perfect tone for the record, which is the recently released single. It’s presented with a beautiful video that explores the song’s themes of liberation and desire.   
 
A wildly spacious reverb envelops the music as rhythms and notes strum along an abstract drone. The bass begins, a deep and hitting rhythm plunges in and separates the dream. Vocals join, Nina Larsen’s voice is suddenly refreshing and carries a curious intrigue that makes us listen. The synths and guitars merge in a blur of harmonies and chopping chords as the bass and drums build concrete footholds for us to climb. With a moving carousel of influence and emotional surge, Ecstasy In Space follows its own story and we can’t help but be carried along.
