Recorded on tour among the stunnery of the West Virginia countryside, math-rock and emo indie rock band Delta Sleep present the video for Figure In The Dark. Released alongside the exciting news that on October 11th their new album Blue Garden will hit the database and begin the monumental climb in listening stats. With a continuous theme of making the most of life’s offerings while coping with the darkness and shade that surrounds us all the time, Delta Sleep take us into the crest of the human story with this universal agenda. Directed by Emmy Nominated Delta Sleep singer, guitarist, and film producer Devin Yüceil, here is Figure In The Dark on Wax Bodega Records. 
 
A series of fascinating chords reveal a subtle melody in the various keys that inflect within the scale. It’s mellow and laid back and offers a sense of serene security. The band revs up and adds all the energy to the frame as the motif continues with energy, distortion, drums, and drive.  An odd timing reveals a mysterious catchiness in the melody as it catches us on the beat and then drifts into extra space. The vocals carry a dreamy sense of evocative storytelling as they craft a Doves and Chilli Peppers style melody and texture. A depth of emotional craft sinks us within the cushioning sounds of harmony and transposition as Figure In The Dark moves in and out of view.
