An entrepreneur of the written word and founder of Homunculus Media, Rowan Blair Colver is the author of several books including children's stories, poetry, and fantasy. Now writing under various other names through the Deltic Books label, Rowan Blair Colver continues to express himself artistically simultaneously to reporting on music, culture and art.
The amazing Sound Read journey began on alternativefruit.com several years ago. With five previous editions, it was time to bring the journal to its own site. And what better than to celebrate with rebranding to Sound Read Six, marking a permanent addition to the Homunculus Media family of sites.
Documenting the best in new and great sounding music, Sound Read Six brings you literary music description and puts artists within reach of all who visit. Widening your musical horizons with a plethora of quality from all corners of the scene, Sound Read Six aims to entertain, inspire, and support through music journalism.
This site creates revenue through ads. They are minimal and the content always comes first. Please do not block them. I also rely on donations from you, the readers. SoundReadSix is an independent music review platform curated by R.B. Colver.
I select and feature music at my own discretion, based on interest, fit, and available time.
1. Submission Does Not Guarantee Coverage
• I receive more music than I can possibly feature.
• Reviews are chosen at my sole discretion.
• I do not work on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. No Payment, No Obligation
• I am not paid by artists, labels, or promo agents for coverage.
• My revenue comes from advertising and affiliate links, not from submitters.
• This means I am under no contractual obligation to review any submission.
3. Communication Etiquette
• Please use polite, professional language in all correspondence.
• Demands, repeated follow-ups, or discourteous messages will result in submissions being declined.
• If I decline or do not respond, please respect that decision.
4. Respect for Boundaries
• If I request no further contact, that boundary is final.
• Continued messages after such a request will be treated as spam.
5. How to Submit
• Send a concise email with:
• Artist name & track/album title
• Streaming or download link
• Short description or press release
• Please do not send large attachments.
