George Phoenix Bonds
Why Can't You
Keeping himself busy as he perfected his style and performance, George Phoenix Bonds has worked to create a direction he can truly believe in. Since taking advice from Marlene Palumbo from Indienink, the time has come for this hot new artist to release his debut single. Making use of the internet and the radio simultaneously, Why Can't You is already streaming across borders.
A harmony of voices and wavering synthesiser peels open the sounds like fruity segments, the tension breaking as each bar separates. Tuneful and slowly graceful composition bubbles and wafts in luxurious keys as expert singing dabs the vocal brush in every corner. A rapped section begins, moving the waters along the tide before the singing returns. The music points to the real sense of feeling judged and used while remaining musically charming and enjoyable.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard
Black Hot Soup
Formed in Melbourne during 2010, this rock band have established a compass rose of sound through a huge catalogue stretching many genres. A massive list of recordings trails the group like a kite's tail, ribboning in the cool breeze as the adventure continues. Their original sound incorporated surf rock with a modern sounding structure, immediately striking a bell in the fun and easy going sunshine rich location. Since then, the guys have pushed the boat out in all directions from their original harbour, catching the gust where ever they find it. Their track Black Hot Soup has been given a remix by the superstar DJ Shadow, proving that there's a lot more waves still out there.
It opens up with a jazzy rhythm full of room snare and bass drums. A double bass plucks a resounding and melodious groove across the percussion. New tones emerge from the jive, synthesiser and record scratching double up to create a funky drive-by rummage through riffs and feels. Breaks inject punchy rhythmics into the splicing mix of thumping bass and rolling toms. Angular space-age sensations roll in on churning topography as persistent drums push the shifting temperament through the creases.

Taking a passionate stance on the pressing issues of the day, the fast-rising Claudia Balla has released music on subjects like women's rights and the changing climate. Fall Into is taken from her forthcoming album ALICE and is described as a journey into a new kind of Wonderland. Taking a melancholy and thoughtful edge to her talents, the song-writing reaches for emotional intelligence and poignant self-reflection.
A build of strings merges with fluctuations of rhythm and tone. A bass begins to pound against deep chords as Claudia begins her song. Her voice snakes and saunters through the verbs in melodic passages. Sing-a-long elements jangle alongside musical avenues that describe more than words are able. Effects decorate the timbre of her voice as feminine sensations dance with the tidal rhythms. Uplifting choruses balance against deep and sybaritic verses.
