Thanks to the All Together Now party, event firm Jameson Connects challenged the pair to create a piece that could be performed fully live on the final night of the bash. Not one to shy away from an opportunity, neither MuRli or Elaine Mai had any regrets about taking on the task. Unifying lyricism and electronic escapism through their combined talents, the award-winning vocal skills of MuRli add extra vibrancy to the anthemic and crowd-pleasing style we love about Elaine Mai.


The track begins with a throbbing bass that scoops into the gut as spoken word sections describe the feelings around making the track. It's an interesting micro-documentary that inventively opens the music for us. A repeating vocal and a kick bass begins to add flow to the soundtrack. A repeating guitar melody creates an interesting sonic shape that rotates and shines in the space created by the wall of bass and voice. Melody sails over the choppy waves and enters tranquillity as synths build from within. A reaching hand of sound climbs the heavens as the rhythm returns along with the guitar to add layer upon layer between the exploratory vocals.
