Out now on UUin, Inc. the Los Angeles based producer presents a shattering remix of NVM. Never mind or never more, the music draws on themes of dealing with depression and holding one’s own in an unfriendly cosmology. Her last release, from 2020, was Nobody and received much critical acclaim. It’s been a good while since then with many factors in between that we have all had to cope with. It’s no wonder that artists are finding their muse in the difficulties we face. Starting out aged 13 and living in Utah, Faith Marie began her own YouTube channel that gained hundreds of thousands of subscribers over the next few years. Turning her attention to music was a natural next step for her and we are so glad she made it.
 
Mellow piano begins with a dreamlike score that becomes voice with the flick of a switch. Blues and bass huddle together as the lyrics express the story across building beats and digital inflections in the mix. Poignant and introspective, the words Never mind reverberate over the chorus section. Rhythmic synths and bubbling beats churn and sway in the grasping pulse of the track. Emotional delivery ensures we listen attentively as Faith Marie explains what is going on in her mind. It’s a human place with relatable sections sandwiched between personally relevant symbology.
