I was chatting to Jon Moses on Twitter the other day and realised he wasn't on Sound Read Six. Thankfully he brought my attention to his album, Forever. A stunning array of singer-orientated tracks, Jon Moses brings his talent to every inch of the music. People will remember Jon from his appearance on Andrew Lloyd Webber's Superstar TV show in which he reached the final. Having performed the leading role of Jesus Christ Superstar, performed his solo material on tour, and headlined at shows around the world, he's a real player on the field. A massive following later, an album on Spotify, and a great musical future, it's a pleasure to let you in on one of our favourites, Go The Distance.


Pianos and brass open the score as a Meatloaf style guitar surges in the foreground. An operatic opening lyric talks of heroes and legendary welcomes. Dreaming of appreciation for the right reasons, the music goes on to describe how hard work and strength can get you there. A subtle river of strings and a lift of piano launches the song into the next level. Drums and guitar join the show to create more buoyancy for Jon's powerful and memorable voice. The music draws us in closer and with personal character, we are led along the path to success and freedom.
