We've been enjoying the homely self-written sounds of Christopher Taylor for years. Why is he not more famous? Perhaps the stars are aligning for this silver-haired songwriter from sunny Yorkshire. This latest single is named after the mysterious jewels of distant radiance and once more shows us why the BBC and many other radio channels want to play Taylor's music.


A delicate hand-picked guitar melody opens with branches of sound. Then, a collapse of bass and drum brings out the vocal as chords harmonise with the well-written melody. We can almost sing-a-long already, let's learn the words. As the stars shine for the chorus, the music bursts into bloom like my Azalea this weekend. A funky layering of melody in the lyrics boosts the delivery as the music roars into the air from its humble melodic roots. Definitely a high-reacher, it's obvious the velocity is set for escape.

Multiple award-winning pop rocker Christopher Taylor has wooed us all with his poignant and intuitive songwriting over the years. The previous Chasing Rainbows, best EP according to Akademia, is only the start. Yorkshireman Christopher Taylor has enjoyed a succession of radio exposure with his many singles, enjoying airtime on the BBC and plenty of local stations as well.


An uplifting guitar lick brings out a groovy drum-score as chords and bass bash the funk-laden rhythm. Snappy snare lifts the melodic progression as Christopher Taylor begins to sing. It's a love song, touching on that sense of knowing a person more than anyone else when we open up and let them in. A song about trust and care, filled with jazzy influences and trumpets, the disco rock sensibility is a cracker for easy going driving or dancing around the table. It's one for the ladies, if you ask me. Having said that, I'm still singing the chorus.
