The Lost Messiahs
Radiance Of Moon Portlaoise We are back in the beautiful country of Ireland to get into the latest release from The Lost Messiahs. Out today, their latest music video continues the adventure from the recent Brownsfield, which has already captivated listeners beyond their borders. The fourth release from their upcoming third album, the synonymous band sound of ethereal and escapist melodic rhythms once more carries the flag to the top of the hill. With people likening the band to groups like Mercury Rev and The National, and a long list of festival dates already in the bag, we can expect great things from The Lost Messiahs. First, let’s sit back and enjoy Radiance Of Moon. The warm hum of an amp rises into solid and tonally rich electric guitar and bass. Tender lines are picked and strummed as the melody unravels into song. A duet of male and female voice harmonises in the flow and the drums begin to lift the sense further upward. The beautiful lyrics evoke images of reality that exist just behind the curtain. We can really relax into its slow rhythm with an upbeat atmosphere, a new element in an electronic fashion adds extra dimension to the pulse. The progression works its way forward as breaks and melodious interludes wrap the dreamy and magical gusts of clarity. The Lost Messiahs
Brownsfield Portalaoise Released on Good Friday, Ireland’s The Lost Messiahs present Brownsfield. Taken from album number three, the prominent sound of The Lost Messiahs continues in full force. Written about a cherished outdoor space where guitarist Ollie used to play, the music draws on the image of everyone’s magical escape to a world of play and imagination. Whether walking the dog or simply getting a breath of fresh air, even as a grown up we can return to those adventurous and wide-open spaces. As their name suggests, the band conjure mystical and ethereal sensations through lyricism and tone, all to the sound of Irish rock n roll. Dreamy whistle tones bring out a shiny guitar phrase that joins a climbing drum. Wholesome dark-wood-tone vocals flutter down and join the swooping energy. An upward soar ensues with graceful buoyancy that elevates individual tones through harmony and rhythmic progression. A duet begins to bring the chorus, male and female voices combine to create a yin-yang of harmonisation and fantasy. The floating atmosphere rises and grows like the expanding cosmos as delicate melodies greet solid percussive influence designed by softly played drums and chugging guitars. The track begins to climb again, breaking out of the melodic ghostliness to become an anthemic sing-song that lifts with each new passing bar.
