Alternative pop-rock with original roots doesn’t get better than London’s Alpha Neutral. A genre-free, fun, and lively attitude keeps the band fresh and inventive with the highs and lows of enjoyable music. A message of inclusivity and togetherness holds the band and their fans together in one strongly bonded crystal of activity. The band have a lot of experience between them, with members having worked with big names on the scene including Bryan Adams and Edwyn Collins. Their new track is out on Bandcamp and features a silver woman sitting in what looks like a cocktail glass. Tasty.
 
A run of keyboard and funky guitar brings the melody through a jive of drums and bass. Vocals enter, it’s reminiscent of Blondie with Debbie Harry. A quick-stepping rhythm runs through choppy bass as jazzy chords rumble and roll through the emotive lyrics. A snappy, catchy vibe streaks through the song as verse changes to chorus and back again. Compositional clarity keeps the tone alive as new sounds sneak into the mix as the brisk circuit revolves around and around. Alpha Neutral are all about inclusivity. Anyone who is human and doing what they can to live their best life is welcome to enjoy the sounds and family ethos. They fit right at home in Sound Read Six, which also has room for everyone. Members of this up-and-coming UK act have worked with big names already. These include people like Edwyn Collins, Gerry Rafferty, and Bryan Adams. Since Alpha Neutral's music was featured on a BBC Television show, their new work has been getting some serious attention. Too Posh is the latest single.
 
It begins with birdsong, and a pleasant atmosphere. Then, drums and bass kick through as vocal enters on a groovy swagger. Harmonies from female choral singers elevate the funky lines that flow between the jazz-funk guitar and keyboard. Fly melodies adapt and foam against the thumping bass and snare beat that rattles with lots of vibrant cymbal. A true up-stroke funk thrill infuses the mix as the lyrics and tune eloquently fit the structure with all the right clothes. Too Posh from Alpha Neutral is a fun and sparkling tune that sounds as fantastic as the video looks.
