Man Versus Robot
Soul For Sail (Live) London Originally from New York, Man Versus Robot began his musical adventure as part of a Junglist and Drum and Bass live band called 5000 Fingers Jungistic Quartet. They had a long-term residency at New York’s hotspot Korova Milk Bar. Since moving to London, Man Versus Robot has been inundated with world-beating quality sounds that have completely blown his horizons afar with new influence and energy. Choosing to continue his music production from his new home, Man Versus Robot has experimented with various social platforms and sound styles that bring various successes and gains. Making everything fit into one clear focus is the way forward and Soul For Sail has put the wide range of schemas into one neat little box. With a few new releases due sometime in the coming year, the boat has left the harbour and the wind is blowing true. The track begins with an oriental style riff that shimmers in reverb and space. Oddly scattered beats being to roar through broken mirrors as tonal instruments add flowing mystery to the amalgam. High pitched guitars wail in airy flux as down and deep bass thuds in sparkling cellars. A heady mix of harmony revels in the drapery of sound that sits atop a steady flow of drums and bass. A dancing of influences keeps the exciting evolution progressive as slow and meaningful DJ scratches fill unknown voids. Smooth and striking, a genuine sense of atmosphere sneaks in behind high walls of jazz-like blues. Find all the information on the Man Versus Robot linktree
Chloe Collins
Do It For The Plot Nashville It’s a real pleasure to feature the latest number from the super-talented Chloe Collins today. Her music has been featured on TV several times, including the 100th episode of Nashville on CMT and The Vineyard. Influenced by musicians like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, (Signed eBay links) Chloe Collins blends a smooth mixture of country and rock with her own special ingredients. She’s been fine-tuning her style since she was only little, and with a decade of work behind her, the compositions just keep coming. Each time Chloe Collins releases something new, her music makes you sit up and pay attention. A groovy and blissed out electric guitar groove breaks as Chloe Collins enters. Punchy and evocative lyrics smash out in phonic bursts of tune as the music begins to grow. A distorted guitar and a heavy bass carry the sense of aggro and swagger forward. Chloe brings an epic and ferocious energy that stands out from a lot of her earlier works. The composition is rich with vocal harmonies that sway to the chord changes and clever riffs that merge with the drums to create a fantastic sound. Dan Wild
Panic Buying Rhythm Cult A colossus of the Bristol community, night-life guru and record label owner Dan Wild brings another round of classic electronica with Panic Buying. Known for his role in the award-winning club nights with Just Jack Events and for being one half of the Last Orders production team, Dan Wild is a highly sought-after character on the scene. This new EP includes a remix from Francesco Mami, whose name is a regular appearance on Rhythm Cult releases. An atmospheric original begins the journey, which is aptly followed by the title track that we can bring to you today. Tapping hats and blip synthesisers create a river of jittering sound that builds in tone and complexity. The bass then hits, huge, thumping undertones wad into the soundsphere as grasping melodies continue to sparkle and shine. New percussion enters, marching beats continue through the forward pressure and momentum. Extra instruments on the synthesiser are layered in. Harmonies in bass plucks and airy pads dance in grumbling shines of dual sonics. Strings reminiscent of cellos strike ambient chords in the spaces between the pulsing bass. Progression moves the heat from high to low as various flavours of the mix become apparent in subtle shifts of mixing. As the rhythm climbs again, the hats begin to rattle before the intersection with the bassline hits once more. Burning Building Unique Records The second single from the upcoming new album, Heaving, Berlin-based Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys stun the world with Burning Building. Lucy Kruger enters with raunchy and evocative expression. Her voice dreamily meanders through the punchy corridors of guitar and bass. Syllables become percussive instruments as the fiery projection elevates with the progressive nature of the music. The National Parks
Sunshine Utah All the way from Provo in the sunny state of Utah, The National Parks prepare for their latest album release with a run of teasing singles. Sunshine is the recently released edition to keep the ball in the air and it’s already got its sights on the long term. A summertime folk-rock masterpiece, the warming and bright composition fits snugly on the album as a stand-out number. The 8th Wonder LP album coincides with an 8th Wonder tour which will see the band strut their stuff in front of happy crowds in several key locations. After an intimate and family orientated Zoom meeting at the previous new year, the band decided to go forth with all the passion and drive they have without the need to impress anybody but themselves. That’s how you get truly personal art and it’s resulted in this fantastic album due on March 3rd. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the Sunshine. It begins with a wave of synthesiser and an enchanting female vocal. Guitars rise from the middle with chugging chord progressions. A punky melody begins with male vocals, a melodic swing through evolving composition ensues as the drums bash a funky drive that froths in bubbling effervescence. Smooth transitions bring the chorus with male and female harmonies on the vocals as the band elevate the journey with extra layers of tune. A continual push carries the song forward as the catchy and uplifting melodies hit the bars and bring them to life. You can follow The National Parks on Instagram and Facebook
