The Night Won't Be Over
Successfully fusing clever beats with modern and inventive melodies has ensured MP Grey has accumulated numerous fans and global interest from all kinds of places. With previous singles hitting the radio regularly, The Night Won't Be Over pushes the play button yet again for something sparkling and brand new. Having the fantastic voice of Rudiger as his wing-man, there's a union of talents here that surpasses the whole.
Smooth and silken beats overlap a funky keyboard playing muted harmonies. The music gathers pace as the first lines of verse tell the tale. A rush of drumming and guitar elevates the synthesiser as the chorus reveals the true sense of the track. Lush melodies playfully jostle for space between the repeatable lines. It's a song about enjoying the thrill of back to back music with that sense of ongoing exhilaration. One more party anthem to make sure the DJ always has something to play, even if it's in the Arctic circle during winter.

Never Gonna Lay Down
A profound resume greets us as Tim McGeary embarks on his long-awaited solo career. Having been on tour with classic bands such as Simple Minds, The Cure, Duran Duran, Billy Idol and Roxy Music, Tim McGeary surely has enough experience and glitter to make a massive impact all by himself. Some of his previous work has made it on to TV such as Smallville with his most recent single enjoying global radio play. Never Gonna Lay Down is written to admire Ukraine's brave self-determination and lets us know that the adventure, for Tim, has only just begun.
A brilliant dynamic groove spans out as the song begins. Guitar and bass thrum to harmonic passages as the snare-driven drumming sloshes with a liquid feel. Tim McGeary sings, we hear his voice begin a rock song, punchy lines with a tinge of Brian Adams and Stiltskin fuels the energy of upbeat inflection. Verse merges to chorus and it punches with a clarity and energy that grabs the attention. Rolling toms and thumping bass frame a thrashing guitar section. After a few of these progressions, the music breaks free into an instrumental and uplifting spectacle. Closing with yet one more chorus, we just love this back-to-basics pure rock single.

The Girls Of L.A.
German Shepherd Records
Live performance art-rock band Weimar just released their new single. A fantastic progression from their conception in 2016, plenty of live shows and music releases have kept the pilot light burning. A sound of 70s avant-garde and 90s college rock comes together in the unique and exciting compositions of this Mancunian four-piece of musical intrigue. Capturing the zeitgeist of the American Dream with a song dedicated to the hard-working serving girls who aspire to be on the other side of the table.
It grows from a humming distortion into a vibrant and catchy chug on guitar and drums as the bassline plunks a steady march. Vocals begin with a loose and evocative melody, punk and grunge seep from the woodwork as the vessel creaks under its own power. Harmonic layers of lyric effervesce on streams of growling guitar and stapled drums stitching everything firmly together. Invigorating and energetic, Weimar show the best sides of their genre with fun and lively, relatable music.

Progressive Psychedelia And Heavy Funk With Wizarding Overtones From San Fran's No Captains
Sound Read Six is in San Francisco today to get ahead of the latest single from No Captains. Taken from their glistening new album, Friends Like These, 13th Moon sees the funk-rock metallers merge with super-violinist KnightressM1. Taking heed from the world of astrology, the occult, and horror films by designing a sound comparable to Faith No More and Mr Bungle, Rage Against The Machine and Tool, No Captains offer up clever and inventive numbers that sail with plenty of knots.
The animated video opens with a slinky bassline that swirls with meandering strings on a creepy pedal. New motions break through with drums and voice, rapped and poetic vocals lean into song and ghostly shadows as the emotions sway under the weight of an encompassing sky. Aggression and introspection hold each other by the hand as a drifting swagger of bass guitar driven slush pushes with a groovy attitude. The phantoms of string fly like coasting spectres as the progression builds into Mike Oldfield's Altered State like origins of death metal. Intense and clarifying, a unique and phantasmagorical theatre of sound rolls with delicious sensations.

We've been enjoying the homely self-written sounds of Christopher Taylor for years. Why is he not more famous? Perhaps the stars are aligning for this silver-haired songwriter from sunny Yorkshire. This latest single is named after the mysterious jewels of distant radiance and once more shows us why the BBC and many other radio channels want to play Taylor's music.
A delicate hand-picked guitar melody opens with branches of sound. Then, a collapse of bass and drum brings out the vocal as chords harmonise with the well-written melody. We can almost sing-a-long already, let's learn the words. As the stars shine for the chorus, the music bursts into bloom like my Azalea this weekend. A funky layering of melody in the lyrics boosts the delivery as the music roars into the air from its humble melodic roots. Definitely a high-reacher, it's obvious the velocity is set for escape.

Weight Of You
Owning her own direction like a true force of nature, Julia Gaeta has recently released her latest single Weight Of You. Inspired by the sounds of Garbage, Wolf Alice, Blushing, and many others, Julia Gaeta has designed her own version of their female-led emotion-bending composition style. Working alongside James “Perturbator” Kent, internationally known as a leading synthwave artist, and the award-winning film-maker David Fitt, Weight Of You has everything it needs and a classy video to boot. Surely we can get this in the net.
It begins with a burst of synthesiser and rhythm. Vocal with a haunting sweep bubbles over the rim of depth in moving sways of harmonious layer. Throbbing bass digs down into our senses as hedonistic cymbals and snare remain effervescent in the gloomy backdrop. Evocative and alluring forms of sound curl from Julia Gaeta as she sings in expressive, diva-like strokes of the mind. Sensual and forthcoming, a sense of euphoria nestles within moody and elemental vehemence. An astonishingly rich and dynamic song that folds in with a unique and intense video, Weight Of You serves as a paragon of its genre.
