A Shoreline Dream are set to release their next studio album this Friday. The Ride frontman Mark Gardener offers his second helping on what will be their 8th LP with a vocal section on the new single. Out now, Hollow Crown demonstrates the sound and presents the aesthetic in a capable and enjoyable cut. Exclusive to Bandcamp, at the present time, fans are invited to pay for the music and show that ownership still counts for something in the streaming age. You can still play it for free, if you want to.  As usual, the music is released on their home-grown Latenight Weekend Records label, proving that quality and quantity can come from the same skilled hands. The evolution of the band’s sound is prominent throughout their line of steady output. A brilliance and creativity have matured at various paces as their music enjoyed collaborative energy from names like Engineers, Chapterhouse, and Ulrich Schnauss over the years. Working with Oxford’s Mark Gardener has enriched their spirit even further, offering yet more pivotal dynamic to their delivery.  
 
Drums and sound effects break into twinkling guitars and atmospheric synths. The droning sound of the keys lingers in spectral geometries as the vocal expands the setting. Snaking melodies climb the progressive framework in brief lines of description. A story unfolds as the haunting music hangs in gentle lines that flutter like banners and zigzag tapestries. A rising of pulse finds us in the middle section as the world closes in on overlapping vocals. The drums keep a persistent time as we are dizzied by the flow of the feelings. A gentle river of softly moving emotion forms around the landscape of the song as the Hollow Crown snugly wraps itself around our minds.

For those lucky enough to own a car, the song is written for driving. Audio escapism with dynamic aspects made from vast layers and atmospheric progressions, this single is taken from their new album Loveblind. This sixth release encapsulates their direction even further with prolific shoegaze and dream-pop sounds that can never sound the same elsewhere.
 
 
Soaring tones fly upward with bass underneath as the music opens outwards and into our mind. Melody changes around vibrant middle tones as the electric guitar rises to meet the sunrise. Rivers of sound merge as tributary layers greet each other with unique sections of delicately placed sculpture. A mysterious evocativeness enchants us as the track leans this way and that, pulling aspects of sound and harmony together with durable hooks and expansive clarity.

Releasing two stunning tracks from their new album, Loveblind and Alarms Stop Ringing, this teaser and taste give us exactly what we need to extrapolate our imagination into what awaits. As we wait with eager ears, we can submerge ourselves in the post-punk shoegaze style that haunts their every chord. Fronted and backed by the super-talented Ryan Policky, this one-man arsenal of acoustics lends his sheer weight of skill to every inch of the record. Let's grab a tune.


A flash of artistic drumming opens with a sense of break-beat jazz before a swirl of sound rises to greet it. Reverb laden tones finely manoeuvre through spindles and spinning wheels of energy that craft epic soundscapes. Vocal throws the verbs through a mist of dreamy fizz as the bass climbs to become the prominent sound. A thrust of the verse crashes through and fills the inflected void with crisp and ambient light, twinkling like stars and dancing like fireworks. Passages of introspective intrigue wander with lustre and clarity amid backdrops of mystery and charm.
