Back with brand-new material, Irish songwriter and music producer Fintan McKahey has stopped the show once again. Higher Place not just a new number, it’s a moment in time that defines the artist’s dedication and positive motivation to give his fans the very best.  With massive shoes to fill, since being named as Hot for 2021 by Hot Press Magazine, the strong shouldered Fintan McKahey took the strain and pulled the beast into 2025. He’s still hot, he’s still got it, and to be honest, if he was good in 21 then he’s somewhat sizzling today. Get your fire extinguishers at the ready, hopefully we won’t need them, let’s go to the Higher Place.   
 
A wholesome and thoroughbred guitar stroke begins the song as bass and drum dive in and dish the groove copiously. The smooth rhythm manifests gracefully as slide-string blues winds down the spring and let’s Fintan begin. The lyrics are folky and with an RnB rock n roll edge that feels like Chilli Peppers or something slow by Guns n Roses. The music however, is something else. It’s oceanic with choppy waves of emotional rhythm that crash into guitar that pools with reverb and sonic psychology. A short number, filled with humanity and sensation, Higher Place is a romantic and moving combination of personality and song.
