Parabola West
No One Can Get Me Here New Zealand A self-confessed maths and science fan, Parabola West manifests her joy for quanta within the realms of her music. Her enchanting and mystical song-writing has mesmerised us all over the years and it seems she has only just begun her story. Described as similar to Loreena McKennitt and with the added magic of Middle Earth, this elfin and legendary songstress always manages to capture the fantastic as well as our hearts. The music begins with a playful plucked string melody that's bumped up with a subtle folk percussion. A swing of current permits the flow to increase as synthesiser bass plunges the tonality along wings of vocal that rise in crisp and open skies. Piano breaks through like sunlight, a flute solo by Parabola's sister Alex knits yet more feeling into the mix. Rhythm and bass amplify and coalesce as the music culminates in a medley of vocal and movement. You can stream Parabola West's No One Can Get Me Here from these sites. Hannah New Zealand Celebrating the night of the Full Moon which falls on Friday 19th November, Parabola West sets her latest single free. Flying into the clear and starlit night, Hannah reveals an undying spirit within the compositions panned by Parabola West. This New Zealand based electronic folk artist is a magical destiny for music fans the world over, and the new song only makes us love her sound even more. Hannah has been recorded with the A note at 432 Hz instead of the traditional 440 Hz. This is because the adjusted frequency is said to harmonise with our own human fields. The music begins with Timpani and Hurdy-gurdy that drones to the thumping drum. Parabola West begins to sing, her folk melodies immediately setting a scene. The timeless feeling of immortal song flies like browning leaves in gusty gales. Beautiful and haunting chorus notes fill the air with mystical charm as forlorn lyrics seek endlessly for the missing. Chapel reverberations and distinctive vocal clarity merge in a mild mannered tempest that flows into eternity.
