Released just a few short days ago, the new In Visible Distance EP from Los Angeles duo Optometry refuels the firebox with a fancy run of remixes, an original, and a cover. The recently published debut album saw the electronic music pairing rocket into the atmosphere, and their orbit has surely been established. To prove it, the remix meat of this new record shows off the talents of some of the genres most sought-after and celebrated acts. Alongside the newly written Television Screen, the EP contains the deep cut Make Up from Vanity 6. Finding the lesser-known beauties within an artist’s body of work and bringing them to the front sometimes requires a heavy figurehead. That’s why we see names like Plaid, Silent Servant, and Alighted making a name for themselves in this newly opened fanbase.
 
A subtle wandering bass melody opens the tune with effervescent meanderings into the rhythm. A deep bass kick enters along with a graceful female voice with a flowing song. The bass continues to thump with the drum and gradual progressions. As the song continues, additions of layer and harmony add novel colourings and beat patterns to the laid-back and sensual mix. A verse and chorus with interludes structure gives the electronic music a modern and popular feel that bridges the gap between dance and drama.
