London rock band The Kut are making massive waves all over the place. Their signature female-driven grunge sound is hitting everyone's sweet spots with consistent brilliance. The group even have their own fan club on Facebook which I am sure you will want to join (link at the end folks) if you're not already a member. Fronted by the supremely talented Princess Maha, who is a dab-hand on pretty much everything you need to make an album, and made a reality by some of the nation's most energetic and proficient musicians, everyone wants to get a slice of The Kut.


The video begins with flag waving and power poses. A chord progression launches the music with a punky and uplifting groove. Drums smash the rhythm as we're given a decent dancing intro before the song begins. Princess Maha begins her verse that pretty much bounces into a chorus immediately. Clever chord progressions and rhythmic breaks frame the lyrics about being strong and independent. Animo not vulnerable, wild at heart and no mothering needed. This lady is on top of her world and is making it even higher. Animo is empowering music with a rock groove we can all move to, vocoder effects smashing chorus vibes into long-term memory, and progressive riffs that just keep motoring into our mind.
