With a plan to establish a vibrant community of music producers, DJs, and digital artists, X Club. have founded Hide The Junk Records to act as a magnet for likeminded talent from across the board. A 4-track EP has surfaced from the music house that illuminated itself track by track along the months of August, September, and October. Now out in full, HTJ001 has registered and resounded with the techno duos pacey and high-class energy. Back in the day, X Club. founded their creativity during the warehouse music boom in Australia, jamming with 90s style techno and electronica and reliving the glory days of youth for so many. Now living in London, they’ve swapped the sunshine for swathes of people as the English capital boasts a thriving dance music culture. With this new chapter of production fully underway, it’s a good time to remember It Isn’t Nice To Fool Mother Nature.
 
It opens with a barrage of drumming that rivers through the dry valley dust, scooping up the leftovers and swirling them into motion. New layers of tone enter to lean over the treble section as the fire rages beneath in the guise of bass and cymbal. Twisting effects drive the motion forward in neat packets of percussive energy. A break gives way to another dimension as elevations of sound drift between the vibrant humming of persistent drum. A simmer down unleashes synthesiser pads that chime in short-sustained harmonies that resonate with the quick-rolling snare. Uplifting and full of bounce, It Isn’t Nice To Fool Mother Nature from X Club. is like a hammer to the nails in our soul. Tight, hard-hitting, and with moments of abstract imagination, the rhythm-fest takes us to new and inventive places.
