They’re heading out on a European tour as their seventh album Trickery is getting great attention worldwide. As they tune up and balance the monitors, Then Comes Silence give us Ghost House. Taken from the record, the single offering gets another push of crowdsourced comradery as the music makes its way to even more listeners. Featuring a duet vocal made possible by EMMON’s Emma Nylen, the track offers something a little different yet founded on the same fundamental principles that make their sound. Pushing the limits of gothic inspired post-punk creativity, the formula meets its match with the strike and direction of the group. Out on Metropolis Records and winding its way around Europe this summer, here is Ghost House from Then Comes Silence.  
 
Ethereal keyboards span the horizon of sonic clarity as dappled droplets sparkle on kinetic platforms, like leaves sprinkled with rain on a warm evening, the scene is set in sound. Vocal begins, a delicate melody drifts through a tapestry of blips and vibing atmosphere that creeps and shivers in the brisk air cast by the percussion. Emma Nylen joins in, her voice compliments Alex Svenson with a tessellation of tone that snugly climbs together in a tandem. A forthcoming guitar section pushes the sail out further as the music reaches its finale, then haunting echoes of the song swirl and fidget until they vanish. A tiny epic poem, a drama in a teacup, Ghost House from Then Comes Silence offers a lavish taste of their live shows and many albums.

Darkwave and post-punk goodness from the Kingdom of Sweden, Then Comes Silence are currently abroad touring the USA. At this same time, they unleash their most up-to-date creations in the form of an album and a great third single, Stay Strange. Fans of Killing Joke and Agent Side Grinder will appreciate what Then Comes Silence has to offer. The gloom and distrurbia that gothic and post-punk infused concoction manifests is cold-filtered and left to stew in a cask before being unleashed upon your ears. As always, Stay Strange.
 
Huge distortion guitar chops and surges with an evocative chord progression, loose and full of humanity. A little silence then gives in to a much more polished and tempo-driven riff. A punky gravity hits with attitude as we circle the rhythms and dream inducing melodic chord changes. A wail soars within, leaning in like a cosmic whistle in between one of the verses. The chorus, Stay Strange, its repetitive nature making sure we remember how to stay true to our own personality and not one of the sheep. Blend out, not in, and let Stay Strange be your soundtrack as you break free from judgement once in a while.
