As the folk-inspired duo tour the nation in support of Tunde Baiyewu and Ocean Colour Scene across a run of dates this summer, the band release their second single Nunney Town. In collaboration with the folk music luminary John McCusker, a new edge is given form with passionate harmonium and touching violin. Having worked hard on their sound and established themselves as a proficient and reliable group, the band found themselves with a live agent, a PR deal, and a great team who all want to see them succeed.
Melodic acoustic guitar and twin vocal harmony rolls in like a early morning mist. An upbeat rhythm and an evocative melody launch the mood into whirling steps. Banjo and violin lean forward, they add distinctive colours that decorate the chords and bring out the tone of the composition. A journey of progressive rock style simmering down ensues as the meaning of the song is given time to sink in. As it closes, the chorus is given one last run around the field before it’s time to go inside.
