Brooklyn-based electronic music fountainhead Homage records are here with their 21st release. Taking the reins on this lucky number is Half Cut. Hailing from Sydney, this transpacific producer is proudly exhibiting a series of seven tracks that transcend the electronic scene with new ideas. The feature is this Cromby Remix, which once again lets the lines draw themselves that little bit further. A focus of talent with a solid base that stands tall on terrafirma highlights this classic-already EP. A wandering warp of retro acid technology meets modern formulae and astounding studio choices to add this extra cherry on the top of this homage to modern music.
 
A classic house-style bass begins to pound with a subtle crackled motion. Hats join the percussion layer in a chunky line of pulsations. Snare begins to rattle in a silky fluid motion as the music readies itself for more bass. A vocal sample signifies the end of the intro as pouncing synthesiser melody reveals a harmonisation with the punchy bassline. Twanging sonics merge with abstract sonic swirls that form strange and misty coalescences in the flow. Snappy and kinetic bars snake and slide in a continual motion of dramatic and artistic rhythm. Mixing layers shift and adapt under various pressured gravities with the flow of twisting textures and foundations.
