The debut single from Chicago’s Evidence Of A Struggle slams the scene with all the force we expect. Building on the sound ethic of groups like Tortoise and Dif Juz, featured on 4AD, the mixing of influences and styles has unleashed some serious headspace. The new album is due on the 9th of June, which gives us plenty of time to get to know the new song and learn it off by heart. A dynamic group of community-oriented musicians, led by the prolific luminary Reverend Billy Simmons, the cinematic and multifaceted compositions lay waste to the mediocre and drab.
