Billed as a Future Star by the luminary Pete Tong and listed as One To Watch by Dancing Astronaut, Lane 8 has fulfilled all expectations and broken the scene in more places than we can count. Producer and DJ David Goldstein is now on the bill again with a brilliant new single. Nuclear Lethargy, released on his own home-brewed record label This Never Happened, ramps up the energy and settles the scores all in one go.
On deep and sensual bass, the music unveils into muffled synthesiser melody. The amplitude rises in the mix as chords and motifs enjoy a smooth ride on steady 1-2 beats that grow and intensify as each bar passes. The melody continues to punctuate the sonic sculpture with continual evolution of tone. Then, the rhythm section and undercarriage pauses as a new found energy takes over with the tune. As the velocity continues on the perfectionist loops, a break brings a brilliant rise of percussion and bass that thumps with dancing sentiment. Progressive and spectacular, Nuclear Lethargy carries an ambience and dream-state that happily accepts a flight on a rocket-ship.
