Originally a guitar player, Tadhg Collins began a passion for exploring emotion through the medium of sound. He developed a song-writing ability over time but then disaster struck. Hit by a car while cruising on his motorbike, Tadhg ended up paralysed in one arm. Like the trooper he is, this didn't stop him. Moving over to synthesisers, and changing his name to Dream Eyes, now he makes evocative and beautiful music inspired by dream pop and electronic artists. Over time, his arm gradually got better and with his new found direction, Dream Eyes became a musical adventure all on its own.
Twinkling melodies ride over a rush of soft chords. Dream Eyes begins the song, Collin's deep range touches first, second, and third bass as the arpeggio style composition bubbles and boils over in the chorus. The drums kick in and resonant chords lift the vocal that surges with catchy lines. Emotional words hang like haunting posters on well-walked corridors, familiar faces and tag lines offer us the illusion we all want to live in. It's time to wake up and build it in the real world.
