Exchanging his tennis racket for a guitar and a microphone, self-taught Alex Uhlmann has conquered his own mountain and now is on the radio. Once a professional sportsman, that same ethos of hard work, training, and pushing the personal best has come in very handy when it comes to learning a new set of skills. With the added talent factor, Alex Uhlmann became the lead singer in Friday Night Hero, a popular indie-rock band that's enjoyed plenty of TV exposure. Now with a proficient solo career as well, Only For A Minute brings the latest composition out in the open.


Sounds of a busy scene burst into guitar and vocal. Falsetto pitches reach into the lofty spaces of the heart as bouncy and sunny chords frolic in the groove. Drums and keyboards add extra layers to the drive, slow and sleek passing time brings avenues of sonic clarity to the mix. Emotionally relevant words and catchy chorus hooks let the music gracefully slide through the room in an easy going saunter.
