If I Could Survive This
When Gavin Fox turned 40, he realised he didn't know who he was. Asking his wife for help, together they were able to help discover what he was all about. A process of self-discovery meant that Gavin Fox could gradually find the true man behind the image and pseudo-confidence. It's a blessing to have someone in your life who can help with these things and yet ultimately they have to be explored alone. With his new single, If I Could Survive This, Gavin Fox describes through music his personal and intimate journey to authenticity.
A melodic rock guitar riff opens the track as drums and bass roar into the mix carried by a snappy vocal. Swagger and sway frames the pace as quick step words fire phonics into the space crafted by the warm and choppy backing. All the while a rock sensibility is delivered by heavy bass and fast guitar chord progressions. Smooth chorus elements brace the friction from the verses as the energy is transmuted from one mood to another in neat manoeuvres.
