It’s said in some circles that Arnold Schwarzenegger has a copy of their late-eighties debut record, but despite sharing a title with the actor, that’s the only connection they have. It’s good enough for me. Well known in their local area and in the wider Scandinavian circuit, True Lies have been familiar faces to many music fans over their 30 years or so on the job. Their home-grown brand of bubbling melody and effervescent rock n roll is perfectly suited to fit any entertaining setlist.
 
The song starts with an up-beat guitar melody that wouldn’t sound wrong on an REM album. With a twinge of country-rock and old-fashioned rock n roll, the song jumps into verse as the band strum and drum in a cosy rhythm. A melodic progression of chords ring out in subtle variations and repeating bars as the story unfolds. Female fronted vocals and male undertones to carry it forward, the rock and home sense of song writing brings all the right ingredients and the right mix of people for a celebratory bash in the name of great music.
