Karamelien’s Leanie Kaleido has written and performed this beautiful acoustic single. Written about reincarnation, the release coincidentally fell upon the timing of the death of Leanie’s father Top Topham. After suffering with dementia for many years, The Yardbird’s original guitarist sadly passed away at the end of January. As Sound Read Six extends heartfelt condolences, it is also one of those divine ironies we cannot ignore. Written when Leanie heard a friend’s story of intense feelings around a past life, the music flowed from the thoughts and feelings about this interesting and spiritually relevant idea.
 
Dappled piano tones linger in reverb and room space as the music opens with enchanting lines. Leanie Kaleido brings her sonically attuned voice to the central peak. The melody builds with keyboards and atmospheric harmonies. As the drums enter after a couple of verses, strings join the dynamics to elevate the tune to greater depths. We can feel the passion in the projection as the chorus repeats and we find ourselves tied into the sensation of grief and looking forward in a dualistic emotion.
